I have made a lot of clothes for my elves on the shelf. One of my most popular videos on YouTube is a video where I made a jacket for my elf on the shelf, Blizzard. It's so cute and pretty easy to make even if you have no experience in sewing. I've also made some cute tutu's, ear muffs, headbands and this year I will be making elf dresses, suits and pyjamas. If you want to see them, be sure to check out my youtube channel and see all of my elf on the shelf videos! If you want to make a wardrobe full of clothes for your elf on the shelf then i'm sure you will enjoy yourself here at Elf on the shelf accessories. I'm going to try and add a new clothing item at least once a week from now until Christmas, so it should be fun! If there is something you would love to know how to make that I don't have here, feel free to contact me and I will do my best to try and make it and video it for you!
FurniturePeople seem to forget how important it is to have furniture for your Elf on the shelf. Sometimes when they fly back from the North Pole, they can be really tired so it's always a good idea to make them a bed. Last year I had to make an elf on the shelf bed because one of my elves got ill so he got snuggled up nice and warm in bed and was better in no time! This year I have also designed an elf on the shelf bench. The designs to make your own are available righ there on elf on the shelf accessories. All you will need is a printer, piece of A5 card, scissors, hole punch and some wooden sticks. I picked mine up from Mc Donalds but you can get them anywhere. Then all you need to do is follow my online instructions, or watch my youtube video where I will take you through the elf on the shelf chair building, step by step. Don't forget to let me know if you want me to make anything new!
SnacksI get a lot of requests asking what food my elf on the shelf likes. Well I've put together some recipes for things that you can feed your elf! Mine LOVE candy, so anything sugary is always a good idea. If you're wondering what treats your elf would like, then why not check out my recipes and videos on making elf on the shelf doughnuts. My elves absolutely loved them! I also crush up candy canes as a little treat for them. Another snack that my elf on the shelves love is chocolate! Here at elf on the shelf accessories we will give you lots of recipes and hints and tips on how to keep your elf on the shelf happy. It must be hard being away from their North Pole friends, so it's good to bring them a little bit of comfort! This December I plan on feeding my elves lots of goodies, so I will even upload some videos where I'm going to make cupcakes for my elf on the shelf friends!
EmergencySometimes accidents happen. If your elf on the shelf has been touched, you will need to learn how to make him or her feel better. Elves lost their magic if they are touched, and won't be able to fly back to the North Pole. It's so very important that you do everything within your power to avoid touching your elf. If something does happen though, don't worry too much. There are ways to make your elf feel better. Your elf on the shelf will need a lot of rest and some medicine. I have made a YouTube video for how to make your elf feel better, so feel free to check that out. However since it's important to fix them quickly, you may want to prepare a mixture of cinnamon, sugar and water ready to feed your elf. They will need to take the medine, and be surrounded by everything that makes them comfortable. Let your elf have some rest before their powers are restored, ready to go see Santa.
GamesElves like to have fun, and since they spend a lot of their time with Santa making toys, you will probably find that your elf on the shelf likes playing with toys too. Mine play a lot of games, so I like to make sure that I have things on hand for them to play with. Last week I found that my elves had printed out a twister game and were playing it on my living room floor. It was so much fun to see! I've also seen them fishing in the sink, playing with loom bands, cards and lots of other fun things. If you want a happy elf on the shelf, letting them have fun and play games is a great way to do that. Elf on the shelf have a lot of imagination so you don't need to worry about giving them actual games, they can create fun from anything you have lay around the house. I just make sure that I leave little treats for them now and again, to thank them for bringing so much fun and joy to my life!
